Effective October 5, 2026
This User Agreement ("Agreement") is a contract between you and Happyville ("Happyville," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Happyville app or website, you agree to this Agreement and to our Privacy Policy.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Happyville.
What Happyville is
- Happyville is a personal spending accountability tool. It reads information from accounts you choose to connect, checks in at the stores you choose, and tracks your goals, budgets, tokens, and streaks.
- Happyville is not a bank and does not hold, move, transfer, or invest your money. Happyville does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Savings suggestions are general estimates based on your past spending. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.
Your account
Keep your login details private and your account information accurate. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us right away at support@happyvilleapp.com if you believe your account was accessed without permission.
Connected accounts
Account connections are provided through Plaid. By connecting an account, you authorize Happyville to receive read-only information from that account through Plaid, and you agree to Plaid's terms for that service. Bank information can be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, and Happyville is not responsible for errors in information provided by banks or Plaid.
Your content
You own the goals, journal entries, and custom nudges you create. You give Happyville permission to store and display them to you to provide the service. Custom nudges are written by you and played back exactly as you wrote them. You are responsible for their content.
Tokens and rewards
Happy Tokens, streaks, and levels have no cash value. They cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for money, and Happyville may change or reset them as described in the app.
Subscriptions
Some features may require a paid subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices, free trials, renewals, and refunds are handled by the store you purchased from, and subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your store account settings. Deleting your Happyville account does not cancel a subscription.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse Happyville, including by accessing it without permission, interfering with its operation, reverse engineering it, using it for unlawful purposes, or using another person's accounts without permission.
Ending your use
You can stop using Happyville and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate this Agreement or if required by law.
Disclaimers
Happyville is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your goals.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Happyville will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, savings, or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid Happyville in the 12 months before the claim.
Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
Changes
We may update this Agreement. If we make significant changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Happyville after changes take effect means you accept them.
